Simplicity — An Exercise in Subtraction
Making Room for What Matters Most
When life becomes cluttered - with our schedules, homes, or even our minds - it often indicates that our spiritual life is cluttered as well. The discipline of simplicity focuses on subtraction: removing what doesn’t matter to create space for what does.
Our surroundings often mirror our inner state. Maybe it’s time to clear out your desk, your car, or your closet as a symbolic step toward clearing your soul.
Remember Philippians 3:10 - our “determined purpose” is to know Him more intimately. And that requires space.
Call to Action: This week, eliminate one item from your schedule and one item from your physical space as a practical step of simplifying for God.
