Guarding Your Heart in a Noisy World

Romans 8:16 says, “The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.” This inner witness becomes stronger when we guard our hearts from the noise of the world.

Silence is not an escape from reality - it’s a way to ground ourselves in God’s presence so we can return to our responsibilities with clarity and peace. In a world that views silence as uncomfortable or even empty, God uses stillness to remind us of our hope and to guide us in ministry.

A shallow ministry - or a shallow life - cannot support others. But depth, nurtured in quiet with God, causes the world to see beyond the superficial.

Call to Action: Take a “noise inventory” of your day. Where could you cut back on unnecessary noise to create more space for God’s voice?
