Moving from Programs to People

Churches can get so focused on running programs that they forget the point — people.

Programs are tools, not the mission. The mission is to make disciples, love neighbors, and reflect the heart of Jesus. “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19). When we measure success by how people are growing rather than how many events we hold, we move closer to the church God intended us to be.

Call to Action: Evaluate one program this month. Ask: “Is this helping people grow in Christ — or just filling the calendar?”
