Asking Like a Child

Children aren't afraid to ask for what they want. They might not always receive the answer they hope for, but they trust the relationship enough to ask anyway.

Jesus invites us to pray with that same boldness: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (Matthew 7:7–8)

Philippians 4:6–7 states that we can bring everything to God in prayer with thanksgiving, and His peace will guard our hearts. A petition is not selfish when it is rooted in trust and surrendered to His will.

Practical Step: Write down one specific request and bring it to God each day for a week. Trust His answer - whether it’s yes, no, or not yet.
