Grace in Unexpected Places

We tend to think of spiritual formation as something that happens in sanctuaries, small groups, and retreats. But God’s grace isn’t confined to sacred buildings — it often shows up in the most ordinary places.

In a coffee shop conversation that turns toward hope.
In the listening ear of a friend at a bar.
In a quiet moment on a park bench when your heart suddenly feels known.

Scripture reminds us: “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it” (Genesis 28:16). The same Spirit that spoke in the temple now speaks in kitchens, workplaces, and street corners. We’re not waiting for “holy moments” to happen — we’re recognizing they already are.

Call to Action: This week, pause in your everyday routines and ask, “Where might God’s grace be showing up here?” Then share that story with someone to encourage their faith.
